THE CHOICE OF TRANSPARENCY
At PELINTEX, we are convinced that what really matters in a journey is not your destination, but the people you are travelling with. We are not interested in a solitary journey. We are looking for a human experience.
Our challenges
We are proud to announce that our Atelier in Pelintex Bulgaria is now certified GOTS.
Certificate n° : CU1067218GOTS-2020-00046008
Our traceability
We support our partners in this sustainable approach, promoting awareness of the Global Compact four thematic issues. Then we make the commitment to regularly visit our partner factories and continuously enhance their social and environmental practices.
Transparency: such is the deliberately scalable choice made by PELINTEX.
David F.
CSR Manager in China.
On top of the BSCI, WCA and SEDEX audits required by our clients, I visit once a month our partner workshops. I specially focus on the cleanliness of the premises, the maintenance of the machines and the safety of the staff. Starting in 2020, I intend to raise awareness of their social and environmental approach, with a necessary dose of pedagogy. Analysis, sharing and support are key elements. We must keep on apprehending the management of production and of its waste by-products in the best possible way for mankind and for the planet.David F.

It is really satisfying when our partner production units receive a 100% grade after a WCA audit. Our work pays and you can feel that people’s perceptions of the importance of social and environmental aspects are changing.Svetlozar K.

THE RESPONSIBLE BOOK
True stories are those we like to tell again and again, to improve with each new idea, to defend and to protect.
At PELINTEX, our responsible book is a true story. We love it, talk about it and constantly improve it, to grow up in a better way.
THE FOUR CHAPTERS OF OUR ADVENTURE:
LIMIT GLOBAL WARMING
Pelintex’s first travel diary is dedicated to the wide white spaces of the polar regions. In order to keep them pure, we try to limit our greenhouse gas emissions as much as possible by :
- Promoting sea, rail and road transport rather than air freight.
- Offering two production zones, to be closer to delivery locations.
- Minimising our carbon impact, reducing our carbon print and compensating for what we cannot avoid.
Desislava D.
Logistics Manager in Bulgaria
I remember our first shipment by train, from China to our office here, in Ruse. It was a real success. For us, it has become obvious to use rail or sea transport for long distance shipping.Desislava D.

Uniform Production Manager
Faced with climate change and future economic challenges, I think it is crucial to reduce international transport and produce locally. When the bulk of the goods has to be delivered mostly in Asia, we produce in China. And for Europe, we offer a "made in Bulgaria" option. If this is not possible, we encourage sea shipping.Christina P.

When PELINTEX decided to switch from a motorized couriers service to messengers on bicycles, I was all for it. Taken together, small steps like this really reflect what our values are about.Cyndia L.

PROTECT OUR OCEANS
After all that white, what about diving in the deep blue sea?
PELINTEX promotes healthy and preserved oceans.
We offer recycled polyester retrieved from the ocean.
PELINTEX supports the Seaqual initiative, whose aim, in partnership with fishermen, NGOs and local communities, is to make thread from plastic waste collected from the sea.
Benjamin E.
Chief Executive
I love the ocean. It plays a very important role in my life. So, it was important for me that PELINTEX be actively involved in protecting the sea. Accordingly, our teams work on several projects which will be announced shortly.Benjamin E.

It all started with the challenging demand of one of clients: not only did they want recycled polyester, but it had to be retrieved from the ocean. I looked for a solution with mixed results until I met Seaqual, which proved to be the obvious answer. It’s always a pleasure to implement innovative projects that really reflect our values. We are now Seaqual certified, but it’s only the beginning of the journey.Lucie D.

PRESERVE OUR ECOSYSTEMS
The third part of our odyssey takes us from water to earth, from blue to green.
For PELINTEX, discovering new natural habitats means making every effort to take care of them.
Accordingly, we promote the use of natural eco-friendly and organic certified fabrics.
We encourage our partners to use materials with an improved manufacturing process.
Finally, we are committed to rely on accessories sourced from sustainably managed forests.

Sales Manager, Pelintex Fabric Solutions
All our suppliers are becoming aware of the urgency of the climate issue and are choosing to travel a better path. I think, for example, of Libeco, weaving GOTS certified flax in Belgium, or Hironen, a Japanese firm achieving amazing results with recycled polyester.Julien R.

PAP Product Manager
Specialized in loose-fitting wear, we use viscose a lot. It wasn’t easy to adopt a cleaner approach. But between deforestation and chemical pollution, I had a strong case and everybody came on board. Today, I’m pleased and proud to see that we offer FSC certified viscose, EcoVero Rayonne and Lyocell.Annick L.

We print a lot a invoices and administrative documents in our department. We have to. But we have a duty to reduce our impact on the environment by using recycled paper. Next step: a paper-free office.Marian M.

BECOME PART OF A CIRCULARITY
It’s amazing, going back always seems to be our favourite part of a journey. For this fourth chapter, PELINTEX hits the road again, just like it started.
The concept is a loop, not a U-turn.
The aim is to create a circularity and never stop improving.
We are constantly looking for projects where PELINTEX textile waste can be reinjected in the value chain.
Somewhere in the world, there is an extraordinary ship’s crew that fights against plastic pollution and proposes recycling solutions in the most deprived countries.
PELINTEX is proud to participate in this expedition by producing their uniforms in upcycled material. Thank you Plastic Odyssey for allowing us to help you in this monumental and indispensable project.

Thinking about plastic pollution also means dealing with the social inequalities it creates. This is the whole project of Plastic Odyssey.Simon Bernard.

As much as possible, we provide our customers with polybags made of recycled LDPE for deliveries. Likewise, we don’t buy plastic bottles at the office and we are looking for plastic polybag substitutes for our packaging. All those projects come from our general approach aiming at reducing our reliance on plastic.Steven B.
